The Heath Town Swimming Club Committee is responsible for the smooth running, governance and long‑term development of the club. We are a values‑led, inclusive organisation, and our committee ensures we meet Swim England standards, safeguard our swimmers, support our coaches and provide a positive environment for every member.
Our committee is made up of volunteers; parents, swimmers and community members who give their time to help the club thrive. We are always grateful for their commitment and support.
Our Committee Roles
Chair
Provides leadership, oversees club operations, supports coaches and volunteers, and ensures the club meets Swim England governance and safeguarding requirements.
Treasurer
Manages club finances, payments, budgeting and financial reporting.
Secretary
Coordinates communication, meeting agendas, minutes and club administration.
Welfare Officer
Ensures the club meets Swim England Wavepower standards and provides a safe, supportive environment for all swimmers.
Head Coach
Leads coaching delivery, swimmer development and training structure.
General Committee Members
Support decision‑making, club events, fundraising, communication and operational tasks.

You do not need previous committee experience. You do not need to know anything about swimming governance. You simply need to be reliable, supportive and willing to help.
Most meetings are online and last around an hour. Training, guidance and mentoring are provided.
